Doctors offices

I was curious if anyone could answer a couple questions of mine.

You see, my sister went to the doctor at one point, and when she was talking about it with me and my dad, she said they had some type of scale that audibly announced your weight.

So 1. Have any of you seen that type of scale?

And 2. Does it sound odd to anyone else here?

Definitely. I have a bariatric scale with an audio setting. It's an accessibility feature which benefits people who are Blind or, in my case, too big to see the numbers if I look down.

It does sound odd but apparently those are a very real thing. You could even buy one for yourself, but of course it would cost more than a regular scale.
